NFT - Crypto art

Painting, sculpture, theatre, performance, etching... Ink, oil, tempera, pastel... Canvas, clay, bronze, cardboard, paper... These are just words, empty shells without vibrant substance to describe the tools Alfonso Crujera employs to conjure up the images that emerge from his “parallel worlds”. A multiplicity of images, given the variety of techniques and supports he has worked with in his long artistic career: A probing, endless investigation, that in recent times has led him to plunge into in a new world where he creates virtual images, resembling the aquatic concentric circles and plays of light produced when we dabble our fingers in a puddle, perhaps.

In January 2024, from the Canary Islands, and with the help of Chr5 (CharlieFive), a crypto artist and expert in the intricacies of release and promoting crypto art, with whom I started in November 2023 to make my digital art releases, he decided to start this project. 52 week artists drop was created, with the undertaken of artists who had just started in these crypto arts and some more who were already experts. We started the first week of 2024 and it will end in the last week of this year. I am very proud to participate in this project, where I have met other artists with common interests making their way on these new platforms that are here to stay.

"52 WEEKS ARTISTS DROP is an independent and pioneering proposal in digital art organized by NftCanarias where a group of important artists from the Spanish and Latin American cryptoart scene will release 52 works (one per week) during the 52 weeks of the year 2024. Our goal is to encourage collaboration between artists, support artists who are joining the cryptoart scene and build a network of collectors linked to the project."

The works go on sale on the NFT market Objkt, for a Tezo (cryptocurrency) equivalent to €0.7024 as of July 31, 2024. An open edition, that is, for one week. On Sunday at 10 p.m. the sale opens and the work will be available at that price until the following Sunday at 10 p.m. when that edition closes and the publication of the next work begins and so on until the last week of December 2024. I think it is an innovative project that has my support and participation.
